Welcome back to our Q&A videos! My name is Roy Pashkovsky, I am a member of BG Fans team, and on these videos I am answering the most common questions our backers ask us.

We received a lot of different questions from you. Some of them we have already mentioned in our previous updates, check them for more details. But some of them I`m gonna answer now.

In this video I will briefly tell you about the product detail, screwed legs, playmats and also something about our delivery and Early Bird discounts. If you have any questions, leave them in the comments and on the next videos we will answer them.

More about Manufacturing - setting the equipment and test versions of Game Space

Hello, dear backers!

In our previous update we shared with you the news that we have found a manufacturing partner able to fulfill the amount of orders we need.  Also we received some questions from you, and in this update we will try to answer all of them and share with you more about the future manufacture. 

Specially to this update, we and our partners manufactured a test variant of Game Space to show it for you asap. We wanted to show you everything and to answer your questions as soon as possible, so the thing you will see on the photos is 100% authentic construction.

In our real manufacturing we use 100% oak. Maybe the picture colors differs from the real ones, but the material we use is oak. Here are some more pictures of our wood pieces with another light, we hope it will show the color more realistic.

Our wooden panels are 0,3 inches thick, or, for our European backers, 9 mm. Of course, the thing you could see on that photos were not ready table panels. It was just a piece of wood to demonstrate the appearance of the wood at the beginning of the manufacturing process. Ready modules look like this.

After cutting all the panels are grinded, polished and covered with a special mix of wax and oil to keep the natural appearance of the wood and make it water resistant. 

Please keep in mind that the wood color in real life and in the photos on your screen may differ a little. We use 100% oak in our product, covered with wax and oil. No plywood, no veneer. Only oak solid wood pieces.

The thing we use in our tables is really solid wood. These are bricks of oak glued together under high pressure. It is not chipboard or plywood. These are solid pieces of wood. Technologically these kinds of details are supposed to be glued as it makes them strain resistant. Non-glued wood piece is more susceptible to curve with time, so the surface won`t be so flat. 

The second reason why we use this technology is that it`s physically impossible to find a completely solid piece of oak wood of our dimensions. The normal width of a carpentry wood piece is 8 inches, which is not enough for our idea. Using it would be unreasonable unreliable and expensive, so we decided to pick up this wood type. It is still solid wood, the same thing is used in your furniture. 

And now let`s take a look underneath our Game Space!

We received many questions about the legs. Is the screwing part reliable and long lasting was one of the main of them.  First of all, we want to answer that the legs are not screwed directly into the wood. There is a special wooden part for each leg, equipped with a screw. Same feature is used to fix the furniture legs, so the experience shows that this construction is very reliable and doesn't afraid of screwing the legs in and out many times. The carving doesn't contact the wood directly, so there is no chance that the wood will be damaged or the construction will become flimsy.

As you can see from the video, the joint is robust enough to handle even extreme impact. We don`t think someone is going to screw the legs this way, but even if is... it is tested :)

To finalize the picture, we want to show you a small tutorial about how to assemble our Game Space.

Our manufacturing is expected to be massive. You, our backers, have calculated that we need to manufacture 13000 panels. We expect to produce even more, and we are ready even for 15000. And it is not the limit. Can we manufacture all of them? 100% yes.

In mass production you don`t need to glue every single detail. This way of course, it could take an eternity to fulfill. How we will do it is to make a big wooden panel, which will be further cut into smaller pieces. It saves a lot of time and efforts, so we and our experienced partners are completely ready for any kind of challenges we may face.

Hello, dear backers!

We receive a lot of feedback from you. We are very grateful that you are helping us to improve and giving us so many brilliant ideas. Without your feedback we`d never think about making a bigger size of our Game Space or a separate bag for the playmats. But we faced a small problem.

Sometimes we get lost in the comments and emails we receive. We really appreciate it, but the amount of unstructured comments makes us struggle a lot. Because of it we can`t answer all the comments as fast as we want, so we started to search for an option to optimize it. And we have found a solution!

The thing which can help us a lot to optimize the process, is if everyone who has any kind of feedback and suggestions for us, would fill a survey! Now we are working on making it because we want to make a perfect structured survey. It will include just a few questions and take a couple of minutes to fill, but it will help us a lot.

Manufacturing Partners Found!

Hello, our dear backers!

Today we come with fantastic news! As you know, we don`t have our own manufacturing. Since the beginning our plan was to find an experienced company that we can trust and to delegate them the manufacturing process. We were looking for _that one_ company for a very long time. Some of them were not able to fulfill the amount of tables we wanted, some had a not suitable price for us. But we didn`t give up and kept looking for the one who will bring our prototype to love. And today we finally can confirm, we have found the manufacturing company!

This company has a great experience in manufacturing wooden things. They have been making wooden furniture and pieces for 15 years. We did a lot of negotiations with them to arrange the best price for the really huge amount of tables we want to manufacture. And now we can see the first results of our co-working.

For example, with this company we managed to see our prototype as the full product for the first time. As we have told you, the prototype we constructed ourselves during COVID pandemic two years ago. It was not perfect, because even though we have some experience in dealing with wood, in professional hands it became much and much better. They helped us to convert our prototype to a perfect table which will be with you for years.

I`m sure you are curious to see how it is going on now. At the moment we can`t show you everything as the mass production haven`t started yet, but we can show you some little spoilers! Here we go!

Here you can see some samples of our Game Space modules. Of course, they will be cut and modified a hundred more times, but just take a look at these wood patterns. Even now we understand how unique our product is. There will be no two same Game Space in the world. Indeed, a product with a soul!

You can see that the manufacturing is getting ready to fulfill our order. They are fixing and setting the equipment to manufacture everything on time.

And especially for you, our most favorite and satisfying part - wood cutting!
